A Breakthrough for 2024+ GM L5P Duramax Diesel Trucks
Up until recently, 2024 and newer GM trucks powered by the 6.6 L L5P Duramax remained locked from third‑party tuning. The onboard ECM was considered too secure, so no one could reliably read, edit, or write performance calibrations.
The general understanding was that the ECM hadn't been cracked yet.
But now, HP Tuners has officially rolled out custom tuning support for the 2024 and newer L5P Duramax! This is a BIG moment for Duramax owners who have been waiting to tap their L5Ps true potential.
What’s New?
- 2024+ GM L5P Duramax (Silverado/Sierra HD) is now included under HP Tuners’ supported tuning platforms.
- Owners can send their ECM in for unlocking service—which allows a professional tuner to load custom tune files.
- ECM unlocking via the OBD II is not currently supported for the 2024+ L5P Duramax.
