This kit comes with a fully enclosed airbox that protects the filter from dirt and keeps out unwanted engine heat.Premium Silicone Rubber.The air filter, couplers, inlet, and tube seal are made from Premium Silicone Rubber. Silcone won't crack, has exceptional tear strengh, and can handle temperatures as high as 400F.

S&B's intake tube doesn't flatten out, and is designed to minimize restriction with one Clean line from the throttle body to the air box. Less obstruction means more airflow, and better performance.
