Description

Through our 20 years in business, we have built our brand by pairing our manufactured parts with complimenting products built to our specification from other industry-leading manufacturers in their respective markets. Through endless trials with these manufacturers, we’ve built a formidable knowledge database fit to produce, or improve, any of these items to suit our applications. Suffice it to say, we know a thing or two about shock quality and tuning.

Having worked with several shock manufacturers, we’ve expanded our capability through contention with varying approaches to shock, piston, and tuning shim design. These trials made us better and, in searching for a replacement shock for the Foxes, made our check-list longer and quality standards more stringent.

The Construction:

Both the Internal Reservoir (IFP) and Remote Reservoir shocks feature the same construction. The body is 6063 aluminum offering a long service life and excellent heat dissipation, anodized for corrosion resistance. The 5/8″ shafts are hardened & chrome-plated steel, and the shocks are spec’d with premium 5WT oil for balanced lubricity, consistent damping, and a wide range of temperature performance.

Stem-Top Bushings:

In our experience with shocks, we’ve become bushing snobs. While poly bushings are popular, we benchmark against the original rubber Bilstein bushings. In a stem-top application, rubber outperforms poly, so we spec a high-quality rubber bushing on these Carli Spec Shocks to eliminate a frequent point of failure. Properly installed, they offer longevity and reliability.

Rod Ends:

Constructed from 6061 billet aluminum, each rod end contains a high-quality one-piece bushing and zinc-plated crush sleeves for precision fit and durability.

Cylinder End Cap:

Our unique end cap design overlaps the shock body to support the internal snap ring. These shocks serve as the travel limiter for trucks without radius arms (and limit straps installed), ensuring the shock remains intact on top-out while bearing axle load.

Remote Reservoir Variant:

This variant includes a separate canister to house the dividing piston and nitrogen charge, freeing up the body for extended piston travel. This design allows more suspension travel than an IFP shock of the same mounting dimensions. High-quality hoses and fittings are included, similar to those used on King shocks.

Billet Reservoir Clamp:

Where applicable, we include a billet, laser-etched Carli reservoir clamp. Front applications use a longer hose to a frame or coil bucket mount, while rear configurations favor piggy-back style mounting. These CNC clamps ensure both function and brand aesthetics are maintained.
