Description

This leveling system is designed for customers who want to keep their Ram performing both on- and off-road without sacrificing quality or ride comfort. At its core, the system includes a 2.5″ lift Linear Rate Coil Spring paired with matched-travel King 2.5″ Remote Reservoir Shocks, custom tuned in-house for superior handling and ride quality.

To maximize performance on heavy-duty trucks, Carli designed custom pistons to determine proper base flow rates, ensuring the shocks work seamlessly. All King shocks are finished with shafts machined and polished from solid 17-4 stainless steel, eliminating coating wear and enhancing durability. King oil rated to -55° F is used, and while the shocks have plated steel bodies, we recommend wrapping them with 3M for long-term exposure to moisture.

The system also includes rear piggyback reservoir shocks, tuned to complement factory air bags. This maintains load capacity while improving handling and predictability both on- and off-road. An included adjustable track bar centers the axle to the frame for precise alignment.

Rear airbag spacers are included to account for the 1″ less rear-to-front rake in air-ride trucks compared to coil-sprung trucks. Carli engineered a two-piece spacer system with chromoly inserts to maximize suspension travel and ride comfort while supporting the load.

The system installs seamlessly, with a snap-together assembly for easy installation. Pins in the upper bracket provide a failsafe for the airbag. Links are machined from aluminum rod with zinc-steel ends and spring clip keepers for durability, replacing the factory polymer ends.

Bump stop drops are included as a 1-7/8″ replacement, providing a total 1″ drop to match the airbag spacer. Rear shocks maintain stock rear travel, ensuring ride quality is preserved.

Important Notes:

  • This system is not upgradeable to Carli 3″ Suspension Systems; it is optimized as a minimal-lift solution with included components.
  • Slight eccentric bolt compensation is recommended to correct caster, as no Radius Arm Drops are included. Minor coil bow may occur at 2.5″ lift height.

Wheels and Tires: We recommend a 35″ tire on a wheel no wider than 9″ with 5.5″–6″ backspace. An 18″ wheel diameter provides optimal ride quality. Unloaded tire pressures: 45F/40R. A Carli Low-Mount Steering Stabilizer is suggested for any tires larger than factory size. 37″ tires are possible with minimal trimming and proper wheel offset (+12 to +18 mm).

The system works well with factory wheels and tires, providing a leveled stance. Larger tires are optional depending on user preference.
