Air-Assist Ram 3500 2.5" Pintop / Progressive Leaf System

This is our Jack-of-all-trades system, designed for Air-Assist Ram 3500 owners who demand massive payload capacity without sacrificing ride quality or handling. By combining the 2.5” King shocks with a predictable, progressive rear leaf pack and supporting components for the air system, we’ve created a solution for those unwilling to settle for “good enough.”

Front & Rear Lift Details:

• Front Lift: 3”-3.5” (cab configuration dependent) with 50% more suspension travel than stock
• Rear Lift: 2.5” via custom progressive leaf pack
• Taller, lighter-rate coil springs increase comfort and control
• Rear progressive leaf springs maintain truck capacity and improve unloaded ride quality

The new 3500 Air-Assist Rams have payloads exceeding 6,000 lbs. Our progressive leaf pack design ensures the airbags engage later, increasing up-travel before ramping in the air springs for a smoother unloaded ride. In the event of air system failure, the springs maintain enough capacity to safely drive home. Note: “ALT Trailer Height” functionality is limited when unloaded but operates normally when loaded.

Air System Modifications:

• Rear leaf pack spacer height optimized for full travel with factory air bags
• Rear height sensor relocation bracket ensures proper load leveling
• Front radius arm drop brackets include air tank relocation to spare tire cavity
• Compatibility maintained with 35”-37” tires; factory spare space unaffected

Shock Details:

• Custom Carli-blueprinted King 2.5” shocks front and rear
• Custom pistons tuned for Air-Assist 3500 platform via seat-of-the-pants feel
• Shafts: oversized, machined/polished from 17-4 Stainless Steel
• Shocks finished with King oil (-55° F) and plated steel bodies
• Optional 3M wrap for extended corrosion protection

Sway Bar & Suspension Linkage:

• Front sway bar options: Billet Drop Brackets or full Torsion Sway Bar replacement
• Billet Drop Blocks: shift sway bar down and forward for full travel
• Torsion sway bar: full replacement with fabricated arms, Delrin bushings, and dual 5/8” FK heim end links
• Adjustable Track Bar included to recenter front axle
• Radius Arm Drop Brackets included to recenter caster and support full travel

Wheel & Tire Fitment:

Single Rear Wheel (SRW):

• Supports up to 37” tires
• Wheels: ≤9” wide, 5.75”-6” backspacing recommended
• 12.5” wide tires fit with minimal trimming; 13.5” requires minor trimming/offset adjustments
• Recommended wheel diameter: 18” for optimal small bump compliance
• Tire pressure (unloaded): 45 psi front / 40 psi rear

Dual Rear Wheel (DRW):

• Supports up to 35” tires
• Maintain near-stock backspacing to preserve rear track width
• Wider 12.5” tires recommended for best fit
• Recommended wheel diameter: 17”-18” for optimal ride quality
• Tire pressure (unloaded): 45 psi front / 30 psi rear
