5 Things to Know BEFORE Buying Your First Diesel Truck

Jake Hopkins |

Thinking about buying your first diesel truck? This article is for you.

Whether you're buying a diesel for fun, work, or just because you like them, it doesn't hurt to do some homework. In fact, NOT doing enough research can cost you BIG.

While this short video isn't a comprehensive list of all the things to consider before buying a diesel, it's a start.

Of the three major platforms (Dodge/Ram, Chevrolet/GMC, and Ford), they all have unique upsides and downsides.

By comparison, while the 6.7 Cummins engine is legendary for reliability, the 68RFE transmission is notorious for failing—and when it does, the fix is NOT cheap.

At the end of the day, buying your first diesel truck should be a fun, rewarding experience. And when it's time to start modifying it (that's where we come in), give us a call!
