Description
Description
If you’ve lifted your 1973-1991 Chevy or GMC Truck/SUV, this Transfer Case Drop Kit helps correct driveline angles. It lowers the transfer case output just enough to reduce vibration in the front driveshaft and ease wear on U-joints for lifted setups.
Why Choose This Kit?
- Driveline Vibration Fix — Reduces angle on the front driveshaft, which is especially noticeable on bigger lifts and more aggressive use.
- High-Quality Steel Spacer — Uses 1-piece heavy steel tube spacer/bracket construction to ensure strength and consistency.
- Durable Finish — E-coated to resist rust and corrosion, important in older frames or exposed applications.
- Simple Installation — Bolt-on kit using existing hardware; minimal modification required.
Fitment & Specs
- Fits Chevy/GMC Trucks and SUVs from 1973-1991 that use 4WD drivetrains.
- Kit part number: Rough Country 7508 / BDS version available.
- Weight: ~1.85 lbs.
- Includes T-case drop spacers and hardware.
Important Notes
- Recommended especially if you have 6″+ lift; lower lifts may not require this correction.
- Front driveshaft may require clearancing or alignment with full droop to avoid binding.
- Check exhaust crossover clearance—raised transfers or modified crossmembers may interfere.
- After install, re-check driveline angles and U-joint conditions up front. Regular inspection helps longevity.
