Description

The Dominator is the true “jack of all trades” shock package in the Carli Suspension lineup. It delivers the most on-road comfort available in a short-arm system while maintaining impressive off-road control that makes the truck feel more agile. This package represents the top tier of our all-around systems—anything beyond the King 3.0 setup leans further into off-road performance at the expense of street ride quality. For drivers who want the best balance of daily comfort and trail capability while keeping the factory short arms, the Dominator is the perfect choice.

Up front, the Dominator runs Carli Signature-tuned King 3.0” remote reservoir shocks, large enough that the factory spring buckets must be bored for proper clearance. Matching 3.0” piggyback shocks are included for the rear. Unlike off-the-shelf options, these Kings use custom Carli pistons with flow rates designed specifically for heavy-duty trucks, then tuned in-house for optimal performance. Each shock shaft is machined and polished from solid 17-4 stainless steel for strength, durability, and resistance to weather damage—without the brittle coatings found on standard shafts. The plated steel shock bodies hold up to harsh use, though for extended exposure to wet or salted conditions, we recommend adding 3M protective wrap as a replaceable barrier.

Installation Notes: Shock towers are required. The upper and lower front spring buckets must be bored to 4.5”. The rear shock crossmember requires clearance and reinforcement with the Carli Gusset Kit. For maximum strength and durability, a fabricated axle truss and rear shock mounts are highly recommended.
