The Carli Pintop Suspension System is the ultimate evolution of the Backcountry system—engineered for Ram owners who demand maximum capability and ride quality. This all-around system raises the Ram platform and incorporates 2.5” diameter shocks, delivering performance that proves these trucks should come with 2.5” shocks from the factory. Designed as Carli’s most popular suspension, the Pintop is optimized for 18” wheels and 37” tires, which are strongly recommended for best results.

System Details

Front lift varies by cab configuration, raising the truck 3″–3.5″ and providing 50% more suspension travel than stock thanks to taller, lighter-rate coil springs. Two base rear coil options are available:

• R1 Coils: 0.5″–1″ lift with reduced-capacity, soft-ride coils supporting a max 1,500 lb bed load.
• R2 Coils: 2″–3″ lift that maintains factory payload. Rated for up to 2,500 lbs tested, with a constant 800 lb payload on standard trucks. Pairs with 3.25″ front lift for balanced ride height.

Front Sway Bar Options

With increased front travel, the factory sway bar position must be adjusted. Carli offers two solutions:

• Billet Sway Bar Drop Brackets: Shift the sway bar down and forward for proper cycling of factory end links.
• Torsion Sway Bar Replacement: Replaces the factory sway bar with a torsion bar supported by fabricated drop brackets and delrin bushings, featuring dual 5/8” FK heim end links for optimized ride quality.

Axle & Track Bar Alignment

Lifting the front end can shift the axle off-center. A 3″ front lift moves the axle ~¾” toward the driver’s side and reduces caster in radius-arm-equipped Rams. The Pintop includes an Adjustable Track Bar to recenter the axle and minimize deflection. Radius Arm Drop Brackets are included to restore proper caster and forward axle positioning.

Complete Suspension Support

The Pintop kit includes bump stop drops to ensure shocks cycle fully, a rear track bar drop bracket to reduce rear yaw, and optional Carli Extended Rear Track Bar for improved rear stability. These components work together to minimize rear-end “wag” while improving predictable handling.

Wheel & Tire Recommendations

• Fits up to 37” tires on wheels no wider than 9” with 5.75–6” backspacing.
• 12.5” wide wheels fit with minimal trimming; 13.5” may require more offset and minor trimming.
• 35” tires fit with minimal or no trimming.
• Recommended: 18” diameter wheels for optimal ride quality on 35”–37” E-rated tires.
• Unloaded tire pressures: 45 psi front / 40 psi rear.
