Factory Leaf Springs
Stock leaf springs are built to haul, designed to handle maximum truck capacity daily. They ride decent under load but sacrifice comfort when unloaded or lightly loaded. Factory packs feature 2-3 main springs with an immobile overload, which acts as a hard-stop during bumps, resulting in harsh engagement over medium-to-large obstacles.
Carli Leaf Springs
Carli’s progressive leaf springs emphasize ride quality while retaining light 3/4-ton capacity. They provide a softer, more planted ride by:
- Increasing main leaf count (factory: 2-4, Carli: 9)
- Replacing single immobile overload with a 3-leaf progressive overload
- Optimizing design for largest tire fitment, improving small bump compliance
- Reducing overall spring rate while increasing progression for smoother ramp-up through travel
- Providing more suspension travel with bolt-on design, no rear blocks required
Bushing Design
Carli replaces factory vulcanized bushings with high-durometer poly bushings and crush sleeves, allowing free axial movement and minimal friction. Combined with Carli fabricated shackles, this eliminates bind and maximizes efficiency. Grease flutes and supplied grease ensure quiet, long-lasting operation.
Friction Reduction
