Pintop Suspension System – Jack-of-All-Trades Performance
Overview:
The Pintop is the Backcountry on steroids — our most popular, all-around suspension system. On-road ride quality is superb, sharp edges are smoothed, and light to medium-duty off-road adventures become completely controlled and uneventful. Most Carli videos showcase the extremes of this kit’s capability.
Raising the Super Duty platform and adding 2.5” diameter shocks (55% more piston surface area than a 2.0” shock) proves that these trucks should come equipped with larger shocks from the factory. While higher-end systems in development will provide even more off-road capability, the Pintop delivers unmatched ride quality per dollar spent and is likely to remain our best-seller for years to come.

Carli Custom-Tuned King 2.5” Shocks (Front & Rear)
Blueprinted for optimal performance on heavy-duty trucks. Custom pistons were designed to set proper base flow rates, then tuned for seat-of-the-pants feel. -
17-4 Stainless Steel Shock Shafts
Polished from a single solid piece of stainless steel. Unlike standard King shafts, there is no coating to wear off, and chips can be safely filed without damaging the seal housing. -
King Oil Rated to -55°F
Plated steel bodies provide durability; we recommend wrapping the shocks in 3M for extended exposure to harsh weather. -
Front Ride Improvements
- Taller Progressive Rate Coil Springs provide more wheel travel
- Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point for linear travel
- Sway Bar Link & Drop Brackets reset sway bar engagement
- Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle
- High-Clearance Bump Stop Drops protect shocks from over-compressing
- Caster Shims tighten steering response

Rear Suspension Options
- Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack (light ¾-ton capacity)
- Progressive Add-a-Pack (maintains factory payload with included Carli 2” block)
- The Full Progressive Leaf Pack shifts the axle slightly forward for maximum tire clearance with 37” M/T tires
- Long-Travel Airbags (coming soon) can supplement rear capacity for F350s
Wheel & Tire Recommendations
- Factory wheels are not recommended with oversized tires due to potential interference with the radius arm, sway bar, and brake lines
- For 4.5” Ford systems:
- 17”-18” wheels, up to 9” wide, 5” backspacing
- 37” E-Rated tires recommended
- Proper inflation improves small-bump compliance; larger wheels may slightly firm up the ride
