Built for the 00-05 Excursion and 87-20 Ford F-250/F-350 2WD, the Apex Chassis Heavy Duty Front Lower Ball Joint is a heavy-duty front lower ball joint replacement with a military grade acetal bearing, forged SAE 1045 housing and hot-forged chromoly stud.

- Military grade acetal bearing – The same bearing material spec’d by the US military for Hummer ball joints: dimensionally stable, polishes smooth as steel, anti-friction, doesn’t wear itself out under load like metal on metal, and takes an absolute pounding.
- SAE 4140 hot-forged chromoly ball stud – For the strongest possible metallurgy, induction heat treated to the exact depth and location and polished like an anti-friction bearing with extremely precise tolerances.
- Rolled and stepped threads – Pressed instead of cut, which strengthens the threads and allows easy movement of hardware, with superior holding when torqued.
- Knurled housing – The preferred design for aftermarket installations.
- Greaseable – Pre-threaded zerk housing, gull-winged grease grooves for improved lubrication around the ball stud, zerk fitting included.
- CR rubber boot – The most durable material for undercar applications, resistant to road-level ozone, oil/gas/engine fluids and extreme heat or cold.
