- Studs are a must — this competition gasket requires studs to handle elevated boost levels.
Installation Highlights
Machine both the head and block for a flat sealing surface, and use a radiused cutter for all groove installations. Lube the nut, washer and threads liberally for even clamp load and never exceed manufacturer torque limits. Torque to 130 ft-lb for startup, retorque the studs hot at operating temperature, and re-adjust valve lash after each retorque.
