The Ford F-450 and F-550 Chassis Cab trucks are everywhere. They are used as ambulances, service trucks, tow trucks, and more. Despite their popularity, the factory suspension can often leave a lot to be desired in terms of capability and ride comfort. That is why Kelderman introduced the 4-Link Rear Air Suspension for Ford F-450/550 Chassis Cab vehicles. Our strong 4-link suspension design completely removes the factory leaf spring suspension in favor of a full air ride suspension. Kelderman’s design allows for the use of four industrial strength air bags (two per side) to increase payload & towing capacity, as well as improve the ride quality.
If you spend a lot of time in these trucks, you certainly know how rough they can be traveling down the road. You don’t have to suffer anymore thanks to a Kelderman air suspension system. By eliminating the stiff leaf spring suspension you will no longer have a harsh, rigid ride quality. Enjoy the benefits of air suspension when using one of our optional, self-leveling air control packages that will allow you to lower the suspension 3.5-4 inches to help load items on the bed of your truck or when hooking up to trailers. At the flip of a switch, the truck will adjust for any weight to return to the original ride height. These optional air control packages also adjust to weight automatically. Just hook up to your trailer and the control system will sense a change in weight and add air into the system to avoid any squatting while loaded.
