This kit’s built for early YJ owners running AMC 4.2L (258ci), 2.5L (150ci), or 304 engines — especially if you’re rolling on 35s or anything in that 32–37" range. If you want better control on the trail without giving up that familiar road feel, this is the upgrade that makes it all work.
The steering gear’s tuned for daily-driven Jeeps that still get dirty, with increased torque output and smoother handling. The Cylinder Assist® acts like a dynamic steering stabilizer — soaking up trail chatter and road feedback so your gear and pump don’t take a beating.
