Randys 68RFE Injection Molded Deep Pan
Deep pans aren’t anything new — but this one is different. Most aftermarket pans are sand cast, which gets the job done, but sand casting can only go so far. With injection molding, we’re able to build a pan that’s not just bigger than stock, but stronger and most importantly impervious to leaks. Injection molding actually forces the molten aluminum into the mold at over 3000psi which eliminates the possibility of porosity and the dreaded leakage that comes with it. Sand casting relies on gravity to flow the metal and therefore it always has porosity.
We all know that the 68RFE case is known to crack under load. Our pan structure and design doesn’t just hold more fluid — it actually helps increase rigidity of the 68RFE case- reducing flex and the risk of torque related fractures. It’s an upgrade in cooling capacity and in structural integrity all at once.
Key Benefits
• Higher-quality construction – injection molding allows thicker, reinforced sections where cast pans come up short and most importantly no porosity.
• Stronger by design – the pan effectively stiffens the transmission case against torque stress.
• Extra capacity – Allows for an additional 4 Quarts of ATF for cooler temps and longer life.
• Service-friendly – includes an O-Ring style magnetic drain plug to eliminate the sloshing of ATF compared to when removing the OEM pan. No more worrying about a copper washer leaking or weeping fluid.
• Factory fitment – bolts right up without modifications.
