Description

The ultimate protection against breakage in high-power, competition vehicles is provided by the Sonnax extreme duty intermediate shaft kit 22171B-08K for Chrysler 47RE, 47RH, and 48RE transmissions. Maximum strength and resistance to fracture in even the most demanding applications are ensured by a special combination of innovative engineering and high-quality manufacturing processes.

There are numerous special refinements on this shaft that are exclusive to Sonnax. Its torsional design is tuned to have energy be absorbed, reducing peak loads to critical areas. With larger rear spline major/minor diameters and by removing both the small diameter undercut and selective spacer, the cross-section area—typically the weakest component—is strengthened. Eliminating the small diameter undercut also increases the durability of the front spline.
