Description
Over time and in rough conditions the design flaws of the OEM lower track bar mount can sometimes cause it to fatigue and break. Unfortunately Fords fix is to buy an entire new axle. Our heavy duty replacement mount will allow you to repair a damaged and broken mount without having to spend huge money to get your truck back on the road! Our unique bracket offers additional bracing back to the axle tube to ensure years of trouble free service! We have designed this to minimize the amount of welding required on the installers end, but this still needs to be installed by a competent welder/tech. This is a little more than we would recommend for the average do it yourself home mechanic.
This does require removal of the old bracket and will need to be welded in place. We have done our best to allow this to replace most failures. They dont all break in the exact same spot so some custom work might be necessary on the installers end.
We offer each part of the axle mount depending on the level of failure your truck has experienced.
3004 Main Trackbar Mount Repair: This is the main component that fails. This replacement bracket welds onto the face of the rectangular Ubolt bottom plate, as shown in one of the attached pictures. If the rectangular Ubolt bottom plate has failed as well, we offer the additional item below for its replacement.
3004-1 Rectangular Ubolt Bottom Plate: This is the rectangular shaped under axle plate which the ubolt nuts tighten up to. Adding this component would be a "Complete" repair bracket. You could remove all of the factory mount from the axle tube and weld the two new repair brackets in place. This bracket includes the mount for the sway bar on the back side of the mount. The two brackets are send seperate of one another and will need to be both welded to the axle tube, as well as to one another.
