Running big tires or a heavy front bumper on your 7.3L Super Duty? Then you already know the stock Ford CII power steering pump struggles to keep up. That’s where the SP-SD-FCV Pressure Relief Valve comes in.
This little upgrade cranks your pump’s output pressure up to around 1600 PSI, giving you stronger steering assist and better braking performance—especially if you’re running Hydro-Boost. It’s a must-have for any 1999–2004 Super Duty that’s been beefed up with aftermarket gear.
Just a heads-up: this won’t quiet down pump noise, but it will absolutely help your truck steer and stop like it should.
