The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Ultimate Front End Kits are designed to improve the steering feel, vehicle control, and overall drivability of your vehicle by replacing and upgrading critical worn OE components. Partnering with our friends at Dynatrac, ICON is happy to pair our suspension components with Dynatrac HD BallJoints to provide a complete front-end suspension solution to solve common steering problems that can lead to loose steering feel, decreased stability, erratic tracking down the road, uneven tire wear, and even death-wobble.
This Stage 2 Ultimate Front End Kit for the 2009-2013 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD and 2009-2012 Dodge Ram 3500 4WD features features ICON?s Adjustable Front Track Bar that help eliminate the notorious "Death Wobble" that big Ram pickups can experience when you lift them and/or put major miles on the clock. This Upgraded ICON Ram 2500 adjustable track bar is great for centering the front axle allowing it to track perfectly under the truck versus offset to the side. It is constructed of 1/4" wall 1 1/2" DOM tubing and is CNC bent for a precise OE-style fit. The weak OEM rubber bushing is eliminated and the use of our 1" captured uniball bearing on the driver side minimizes overall deflection while allowing just enough movement so steering wheel feedback is not present. We use a PTFE lined rod end on the passenger side which also reduces deflection and threads into our left/right adjuster that allows easy on-truck adjustability for the perfect front end alignment.
Stage 2 also includes a full set of front upper and lower Dynatrac HD BallJoints. Dynatrac HD Balljoints feature heat-treated high-strength billet bodies with chromoly stems along with a heat-treated, precision-ground stainless-steel ball. Unique seals prevent contamination, and the ball joints have greaseable fittings and PTFE-coated wear points to provide a long, durable service life. These high-end ball joints Are also rebuildable what still installed in the front axle housing. The OEM ball joints often wear quickly with larger off-road tires, many road miles, or extreme off-roading. Replacing worn factory ball joints with Dynatrac HD BallJoints, built specifically for the rigorous demands of these vehicles, provides a long-term solution and help maximize the overall drivability of the Ram 2500/3500.
Rounding out Stage 2 is a stock-replacement steering stabilizer based on the ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shock absorber line, and has been specifically tuned to compensate for the additional weight of larger wheels and tires on the RAM 3/4-ton trucks. The ICON 2.0 stabilizer is a direct fit replacement, meaning install is as simple as removing the original unit, and bolting up the ICON part in its place. Ease of installation combined with Increased damping ability over stock, a corrosion-resistant shock body, and a fully rebuildable design make the ICON steering stabilizer the best choice for replacing or upgrading worn out 2009-2013 Ram 2500/3500 components.
