The turbo outlet boot is the hottest, hardest-working joint in your intercooler system, and on the 2004.5-2010 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 6.6L Duramax LLY, LBZ and LMM it is also the one that rips open. The Wehrli 3" Driver (Hot) Side Intercooler Pipe Kit (Manufacturer Part # WCF100352) replaces the 2.5" factory pipe with a one-piece, mandrel bent 14 gauge aluminum pipe and a boot built to survive the heat. No tuning required, no check engine lights.
Why Choose the Wehrli 3" Driver (Hot) Side Intercooler Pipe Kit?
- 2.5" to 3" – Wehrli measures the larger pipe at roughly a 50% increase in CFM flow over the OEM unit, which shows up as quicker spool, sharper throttle response and lower EGTs.
- Five-ply boot with an aramid liner – rated to withstand over 500 degrees, where the thin factory silicone boot at the turbo outlet is notorious for breaking down and tearing open.
- Wire-reinforced center section – the short span between the turbo outlet and the pipe inlet has internal steel wire so the boot cannot balloon under pressure. Boots that expand are boots that tear.
- External bead roll instead of the OEM reverse design – the factory internal-style bead roll lets the boot and clamp walk right off the end of the pipe under higher than stock boost. This one is designed to hold them on.
- Straight connection at the intercooler – replaces the factory elbow-style boot, which has a longer cross section to expand and eventually fail.
- One piece, no weld seams – fully mandrel bent, a refinement over the earlier multi-piece versions Wehrli has been building since 2010.
- Custom powder coat – finished in house in your choice of Wehrli's colors. Made in the USA.
